The producers (11 of ’em!) are banking on the fact that a bunch of other sex comedies with the words “American” and “virgin” in the title (American Pie and The 40-Year-Old Virgin amongst them) have had some success and that familiarity will breed success.
Nice try, but we’re thinking that Schneider’s nominal fan base and Dewan’s growing one might be your only audience for this one.
